The technology team at Stratasan is on a never-ending mission to make Canvas a better tool for healthcare market researchers, hospital strategists, and other users. Often we release incremental improvements that are pushed out with little fanfare.
So this is a quick note to make sure you don't miss ne of the recent updates.
As you may already know, we have built an interactive tool that makes it easier for our clients to identify their facility's primary and secondary service area. Our VP of Strategy, Lee Ann Lambdin, has already written extensively about the art of identifying your service area.
One factor in doing this is nearby facilities. We have recently added the ability to view those facilities in the map builder. Here is an animated image showing how this works (click on the image to see it in full-size).
By default, acute care facilities within 10 miles are shown. You can also choose to narrow down the radius to five miles or increase it to either 20 or 50 miles (useful for rural areas).
If you hover over the hospital markers you can see the name of the facility on the map.
If you have any questions about using this new tool, please get in touch! We'd love to show you a demonstration. If you'd like to schedule one, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
